4 Tools For Small Teams to Create Killer Social Media Posts

Here at Media Volery, we manage a number of social media accounts for clients and we also offer recommendations for tools to help create quality content. Since social media is extremely visual-heavy, we carefully curate and create content that will effectively communicate a message with the appropriate visual representation. Here are a few of our favorite user-friendly tools that we always go to in order to get the job done.

1. Canva: a Social Media Graphics Tool with Collaboration Features

Canva is an easy-to-use graphic design tool. Canva has templates to help you create graphics for social media, posters, postcards, and more. We use it frequently for social media posts and even love the templates provided to create unique images for Instagram Stories. Canva can be used on both desktop and mobile, so you can use it while on the go as well.

2. Animoto: Create Simple Videos in a Few Minutes

Videos tend to get the most engagement on social media, so we always recommend creating branded videos to further the reach of your audience. Animoto is a great user-friendly tool for creating videos. Animoto easily allows you to set up your video frame by frame, add music, images, and text.

For example, we like to turn popular blog posts into Animoto videos for our clients. We gather the top 3-5 points from the post and compile it into a short video that’s easily digestible for the audience. You can also create fun videos for Instagram Stories on Animoto through the mobile app, which is a feature we find incredibly useful.

3. Unsplash: Free, Beautiful Images at Your Fingertips

Unsplash is a favorite of ours when it comes to sourcing images that can be turned into graphics for content. It’s especially useful for featured blog post images. Often, we’ll integrate an image from Unsplash with our Canva graphic. The images are free, high quality, and you don’t need to create a log-in to download or access them.

4. Adobe Spark: a Design Tool for the Web and Mobile

If you already have the Adobe Suite, you’ll enjoy using Adobe Spark. It’s a jack-of-all-trades kind of tool, which you can use to create videos, social graphics, magazine-style webpages and more. With such a variety of features, storytelling comes easy with this program.

Of course, there are plenty more great design tools to be used within the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), but the majority of these options are low-cost, effective ways to create visually-appealing, professional content that you can be proud of!
